Dysprosium metal is a bright silvery, very soft, and malleable rare earth metal that remains relatively stable in air at room temperature. You can even cut it with a knife. Dysprosium's characteristics can be strongly affected by the presence of small amounts of impurities. Dysprosium is stable in air at room temperature, but can be easily oxidized by oxygen and water at high temperature and become dysprosium oxide. Dysprosium is superconductive at temperatures near absolute zero.

Application of Dysprosium Metal:
Dysprosium is mainly used in the manufacture of the new lighting source – dysprosium lamp. It is also used in nuclear reactors to make nuclear reactor control rods. In addition, dysprosium compounds are good catalysts in petroleum refining industry.
Packaging of Dysprosium Metal:
Our dysprosium metal and dysprosium metal powder are clearly tagged and labeled externally to ensure efficient identification and quality control. Great care is taken to avoid any damage which might be caused during storage or transportation.
