Holmium metal is a soft, malleable, ductile, silvery rare earth metal, also belonging to the lanthanide group of the periodic table. It has the highest magnetic permeability of any element, similar to dysprosium. It is fairly corrosion-resistant and stable in dry air at standard temperature and pressure, but easily oxidizes in moist air. Holmium has the highest magnetic moment of the naturally occurring elements, and forms highly magnetic compounds when alloyed with yttrium. At ambient conditions, Holmium is paramagnetic.

Applications of Holmium Metal:
1. Used in yttrium-iron-garnet (YIG) and yttrium-lanthanum-fluoride (YLF) solid-state lasers.
2. Holmium lasers are used in medical, dental, and fiber-optical applications.
3. Used as a yellow and red pigment for cubic zirconia and glass.
4. Used to create artificially generated magnetic fields.
5. Used poison to regulate nuclear reactors.
6. Used as a calibration standard for optical spectrophotometers.
Packaging of Holmium Metal:
Our holmium metals are carefully handled to minimize damage during storage and transportation and to preserve the quality of our products in their original condition.
